What the CHASE ICT Tool Is?

The CHASE ICT Tool is a web-based system designed to support moderators in detecting, classifying, and analysing gendered hate speech across online discussions.

The CHASE Code of Conduct website brings together organisations committed to combating gender-based hate speech and fostering safer, more inclusive online spaces. By signing the Code of Conduct and adopting the CHASE e-Badge, member organisations publicly affirm their dedication to ethical communication, responsible moderation and the protection of fundamental rights.

CHASE e-Badge

Organisations that wish to join can complete the required steps, formally declaring their alignment with the Code of Conduct and their commitment to its implementation. Once the Code is signed, each organisation receives an official CHASE e-badge.

The CHASE Code of Conduct website serves as the central platform for promoting the Code and supporting organisations that choose to align with its principles. Its primary purpose is to guide media organisations, online media actors and institutions through the process of understanding, accepting and signing the CHASE Code of Conduct on combating online gender-based violence. By doing so, the initiative contributes to a safer and more respectful online environment, encouraging shared standards of responsible communication and moderation.

Through this website, members can access the full text of the Code of Conduct, align with its key principle and understand the commitments expected from signatories while receiving the CHASE e-badge.

Organisations that wish to join can complete the required steps noted under the ‘E-badge’ section, formally declaring their alignment with the Code of Conduct and their commitment to its implementation. Once the Code is signed, each organisation receives an official CHASE e-badge. This badge serves as a visible symbol of their dedication to combating gender-based hate speech and can be uploaded directly to their website or digital channels.

In addition to supporting new signatories, the website promotes the growing community of organisations that have already endorsed the Code of Conduct. The members, as signatories of the Code, are showcased on the Members page, highlighting their alignment with the Code and their role within the broader network of participating organisations.
